Creating A New LinkedIn Group User (LinkedIn Groups / Pages)

Video Pt 1

Video Pt 2

There is an issue in Video 1 that is important: If you have already connected your LinkedIn to a LinkedIn Group user, you cannot connect it to another (we will update when this gets fixed). If you try to connect it to another, you will get an error message and be stuck on the LinkedIn Connection screen (as shown in video)

1) Log into your RFS Account or (if you're already logged in) go to the dashboardAssociate1

2) Click on your icon in the top right corner. From the menu select 'LinkedIn Group'

3)Click on 'Create  LinkedIn Group User' in the top right corner

Because this will be your first time creating an LinkedIn Group user, you should only have the green 'Create LinkedIn Group' on screen

4) Name your group user and click create

5) After the user is created, click on the green icon in the top right corner of the user account (shown here circled in red)

Important Note:

LinkedIn Group user password: change the password for the LinkedIn Group user after the parent account password expires.

  • When a LinkedIn Group user is created it takes on the password from the Parent user creating it (including the expiration date)
  • When passwords expire it happens on both accounts.
  • Users will change the password on the parent account, BUT they still need to log into the LinkedIn Group user account and update the password there.
  • There can be an issue when the user updates their password in their browser password manager and will therefore not remember the password for the LinkedIn Group user. In that case, the only option is password reset via the account manager.
