NOTE: If you need help downloading the Google Chrome plugin, see this guide.
1.To use the extension, FIRST make sure you have signed in to RFS.

2. In another tab, go to any news website or blog and find an article that you want to share.

3. To use the RFS Chrome extension with the article, click the puzzle icon in the upper right corner of Google Chrome.

4. Then select the "ReadyForSocial" extension.
4b. If you wish to pin the RFS extension to your browser for easier access, click on the pin icon next to ReadyForSocial.

5. Once you select the plugin, a box titled "Own Post" will appear. To make the article you have chosen into an "Own Post" on RFS, simply select "Get Data" in the box.

6. The "Own Post" box will automatically fill out the title, social copy, and post URL for the article. If you want to post the article, click "Submit" to see more posting options and be brought to RFS.

7. A "Create Post" tab will open on RFS. Here, you can edit your post before sending it out. You can edit the social copy (the automatically pulled social copy is just the first section of the article).

8. You can also choose to use the image associated with the article by selecting the box that says "Select this image," OR you can add your own image by selecting the "Browse" button. You can also schedule your post for a different date (RFS will automatically select today).

9. At the bottom of the "Create Post" page, you have the option to check a box that says "Make the post visible to your colleagues to use as well." If you select this option, the post will be sent to moderators, then made available for your colleagues to share.

9b. When your post is approved to be available to your colleagues, you will receive a notification email like the one below:

10. When you are finished creating your post, you can either select the Create & Share button to create the post immediately, OR click Create to schedule the post for later.
11. If you choose Create, your new post will save under the Own Post tab in RFS.

From here, you can schedule it or share it as you would any other post.
12. Keep in mind that you can schedule Own Posts to be shared randomly and automatically with the Autopilot feature. To schedule Own Posts via Autopilot, go to your Dashboard and select "Configure Autopilot."

13. In "Configure Autopilot," select "Own Post" as a category and select an amount of content you want to be shared from your Own Posts per week.

Every week, RFS will grab a post from your Own Post feed and put them into your calendar for the next week of sharing in Autopilot. If there are no Own Posts available, no posts will be scheduled for that week.
