Unlocking the Power of LinkedIn: A Guide to Exporting Your Connections

Over time, as your network grows, it becomes essential to manage and organize your connections effectively. One way to do this is by exporting a list of your LinkedIn connections. This article will guide you through the step-by-step process of exporting your connections and provide some important notes to consider.

You'll be prompted to choose the specific data files you're interested in.
Select "Connections" and click "Request archive."

  4. Verification and Confirmation: Enter your LinkedIn password when prompted and click "Done." LinkedIn will then process your request and send an email to your Primary Email address.
  5. Downloading Your List: Check your email for the message from LinkedIn. It will include a link where you can download your list of connections. Click on the link to access and save the file.

Important Notes:

  1. Email Address Visibility: Keep in mind that not all email addresses may be visible in the exported data. LinkedIn only includes email addresses for connections who have allowed their email addresses to be seen or downloaded by their connections.

  2. Format Limitations: The exported list is available in CSV and vCard formats. It's important to note that these formats do not support all characters. Languages with extended character sets, such as Chinese, Japanese, or Hebrew, may not be fully supported.

  3. First-Degree Connections Only: The export feature is currently limited to your 1st-degree connections. You won't be able to export a list of contacts that are not directly connected to you on LinkedIn.

  4. Handling Duplicate Accounts: If you're exporting connections due to a duplicate account, make sure to close the extra account. You can then import your connections list to another LinkedIn account, ensuring a seamless transition.
